Parisa Shifteh Shares Her Vision for the Next Season of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’: ‘A 2nd Island’
New ideas.
Bachelor Nation got to know and love Parisa Shifteh on Season 29 of “The Bachelor” and again on Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” where she coupled up with Brian Autz.
After filming, however, they went their separate ways. Parisa later shared on the “Bachelor in Paradise: Unplugged” reunion podcast that she had started seeing someone new.
She later hard-launched her relationship with boyfriend Gabe Stone on social media, and the couple has been sharing glimpses of their lives together ever since.
Now, Parisa has joined the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to share more about her relationship, reflect on her time in “Paradise,” and reveal her vision for the next season of BIP.
While discussing some of the challenges she experienced during her season of “Paradise,” Parisa proposed a new layout for future seasons.
She said, “The first challenging thing I noticed when you enter the beach, I came in week 2. Everyone already coupled up at that point… The other guys already coupled up with the girls, they weren’t open. And so then I was like, ‘Okay, now I need to think. There’ll be new guys coming in week 3. I want a chance to stay so I can see who’s here week 3.’ So you have to play, you know there’s that strategy to stay. And I did not like that because it also, even if I was there week 1, it has you second guessing everyone’s intentions.”
Parisa went on to explain that she thinks there should be a second island.
“There’s such a fear of getting sent home early and then not meeting someone who comes in the next week, so some people kind of fake it until you make it. I think a new layout for the show, which would be so helpful, is having a second island,” she suggested. “And the people that, they don’t have a connection that first week, they go to the second island.”
She outlined, “One island you have connections that are growing, and then people come in the next week, the second week, the third week, to that main island. And if connections, again, don’t work out on that island, the people that don’t get a rose they go to island #2. And then they have a second chance.”
