Jess Girod Gets Candid About Skin Struggles and ‘Crashing Out’ Over Her Career
Keeping it real.
Bachelor Nation got to know and love Jess Girod on Season 27 of “The Bachelor” and Season 9 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
In 2024, Jess moved to San Diego, California, and has been keeping fans updated with her life online.
The Bachelor Nation star loves to share about her adventures with friends, travels, and dating life updates.
And recently, she took to her TikTok account to open about recent struggles she’s been facing.
In a new post, Jess shared that she’s been struggling with her skin lately and it’s made her not want to post online.
“I’ve been MIA for lots of reasons. We’re gonna address the elephant in the room, and it’s that my acne is clearly… it’s pretty bad right now,” she shared. “I have been so down bad about it. I haven’t been wanting to make any videos at all because of how my face looks. I feel like when I look at the screen, this is all I’m looking at.”
Jess went on, explaining that she’s going to start a medication for her skin soon and began experiencing acne a few years ago.
“I can’t believe that at 27 years old I’m going on Accutane,” she stated. “I’ve never had acne in high school or college, and in the last three years it has been a nightmare.”
The Bachelor Nation star also got candid about feeling unsure of her career and what she wants to pursue.
Jess said, “I’ve been kind of crashing out on what I am doing in my career. I went on ‘The Bachelor’ four years ago now I think? ‘Paradise’ three years ago. And I’ve had a job ever since, I’ve never not had a job. Even my own friends had no idea that I’m not influencing full time, which is kind of crazy because I really don’t post that much. I need to really put in more effort.”
She went on, “I’ve actually worked for the same company for the last three years, four years, I don’t even know. I’m kind of hitting a point where I’m like, ‘What do I want to do with my life?’ I don’t know if I’m ready to commit to influencing full time because I have been lacking so much on it. Don’t know.”
We are sending our love and support to Jess. We appreciate her vulnerability and we’re wishing her all the best.
