Chris Harrison's Secrets to Staying Calm in Stressful Moments
Chris Harrison has dealt with his fair share of Bachelor Nation-related drama. Whether it be Colton’s fence-jump and getting lost in the Portuguese night, Vienna Girardi and Jake Pavelka’s tense breakup, or Brad Womack not choosing anyone his first season, Chris has seen it all.
The longtime host exhibited patience and sympathy during “Men Tell All” on July 22. Luke Parker from Hannah Brown’s season of “The Bachelorette” spent much of the evening in the Hot Seat discussing religion, his time on the show, and how he feels about Hannah now. Chris didn’t shy away from tough questions and wasn’t afraid to follow up to delve deeper into his answers.
Most of the time, however, Luke replied with, “Let me clarify” or “Just so I won’t be misconstrued” and often walked back his previous comments.
During the episode, Chris asked Luke if he felt he “made any mistakes” and if Luke believed he was a narcissist.
“If I could back, I wouldn’t change a thing,” Luke replied after a very long pause.
Bachelor Nation discussed the taping with Chris after the show and learned how he remains Zen throughout the more frustrating moments.
“I think being a parent for the last 17 years of my life definitely comes into play. I can let it wash over me,” he tells us.
He added, “I know he wanted it to be contentious, and when you poke the bear you just don’t fall for it. You stay in the conversation and get to what’s important.”
