Demi Burnett Says Hannah Feels Like Jed 'Ruined the Experience for Her'
Demi Burnett is giving her two cents on the saga that went down between Hannah Brown and Jed Wyatt on that raw, emotional, and intense “The Bachelorette” season finale.
The “Bachelor in Paradise” cast member joined Rachel Lindsay and Ali Fedotowsky-Manno on their new podcast “Bachelor Happy Hour with Rachel and Ali” and talked through the events that transpired. Hannah and Demi are best friends, and Demi was one of the first people Hannah called when People published a story about Jed’s alleged girlfriend, Haley Stevens.
Demi recalled how the phone call revolved “essentially around how he had ruined the experience for her.” She elaborated, “She was one of the most serious contestants on ‘The Bachelor.’ She was serious about getting married. Then she became the Bachelorette and I knew she was perfect for it because she actually wants to get married. She believes in this and she’s ready for it. She feels like her experience got ruined.”
The 24-year-old also talked to Ali and Rachel about Hannah’s emotions both during and after the news broke. “Of course she’s angry, of course she’s sad. She feels let down. I don’t want to speak for her, but I know she’s going through a lot of emotions,” she said.
According to Demi, Hannah felt a tad more apprehensive about Tyler Cameron because she thought he “was going to be a huge player because he’s so hot.”
She added, “Then she finds out she was with the biggest player of them all — someone with a girlfriend.”
As Demi puts it, the entire situation made Hannah feel “very deceived.” Hannah believed the People article about Haley “because of all the evidence that came with it.” Jed even “admitted to it” whenever she asked him about it.
