Colton Underwood Officiates Wedding for ‘Bachelor’ Fans Howard & Beth Stern on ‘Ellen’
Colton Underwood: Season 23 Bachelor, founder of a thriving nonprofit organization, devoted boyfriend, and… ordained minister? Yes, Colton can legally officiate your wedding.
The 27-year-old brought his skills to Monday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Prolific radio host Howard Stern sat alongside Ellen onstage and talked about how he proposed to his wife Beth a second time in front of a large crowd of people at dinner one night in Tennessee. She told him she didn’t want to get remarried, saying, “It’s bad luck.”
Jimmy Kimmel happened to be one of the attendees at said dinner. Stern went on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” recently and, in the middle of rehashing the Tennessee proposal, asked Beth if she would come onstage so he could propose again. Much to his surprise, she said yes! Hence how we got to this moment on “Ellen.”
Ellen one-upped the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” moment, because what’s a proposal without a marriage? Ellen told the cheering crowd, “I have someone here that I got ordained today to be able to marry you right now, and I know you’re both fans of ‘The Bachelor,’ so ladies and gentlemen, Colton is here.”

The wall moved and Colton emerged, standing by an altar. Stern praised Colton and said, “You’re muscular, you’re handsome, you’re a good choice to marry us.” He said, “Beth and I are Bachelor Nation. It’s our favorite show.” He added as part of his vows, “If you remarry me, I promise for the rest of my life to watch ‘The Bachelor’ with you in bed every single night. And ‘Bachelor in Paradise.’” Aww!

Congratulations, Howard and Beth! We now pronounce Colton the Bachelor Nation Renaissance man.
