Desiree Hartsock Reveals How She & Chris Siegfried 'Connect More'
Desiree Hartsock is making a special confession about her love life.
The Season 9 Bachelorette shared an anecdote about how she and her husband Chris Siegfried set aside time for themselves, especially when it’s easy to get swept up in the busyness of parenting two young boys.
Desiree posted a photo over the weekend of her and Chris, and wrote about how they prioritize date nights. “Confession,” she began. “We don’t date or take time for just us as often as we probably should and as many of you parents know it can be challenging to carve out the time away from the kiddos or when you do have time you’re too tired. Lol. Am I right!?!”
Her caption continued, “Needless to say since implementing a more weekly date night we’re able to connect more, talk about things other than how many poops the baby had in a day or who’s picking Asher up from school.”
Des shared, “I get giddy and excited for moments of bonding & actually putting on some lipstick for a (short) night out!”

She regularly shares insightful moments from her everyday life. In October, the wedding dress designer posted a photo of herself all glammed up, captioning that she “needed a little inspiration” because she’d reached a point where “finally felt like I’m getting out of the baby rut with Zander.” She explained that she’s “working on focusing on myself a little more- inside and out!”
On a similar note, Des participated in the #AsSheIs challenge, which seeks to empower women, saying that “we all have insecurities and bad days despite how happy and confident we may appear online.” Desiree posted a photo with her sons Asher and Zander and her dog, and wrote about the “pressures and expectations we place on ourselves when it comes to posting.”
She shared, “There’s been many times I didn’t press the publish button out of fear of negativity or comments or criticism. It’s hard not to compare as we scroll perfectly curated lives but it’s such a great reminder to know that so much is exactly that- curated. I love all the ladies participating in this to show more of the raw, unfiltered or touched up snapshots.”

Chris has also posted some touching tributes about his wife as well. On Friday, Chris uploaded a photo of a glass of wine and a bag of popcorn, writing, “Yes!!! When your wife goes to bed and you’re drinking wine by yourself, hoping there is cheddar popcorn in the pantry and of course @desireesiegfried bought two bags! I honestly wasn’t sure what I was going to do...but sure enough she came through! Love you babe.”
