The happy parents welcomed a baby boy on November 12, which they hinted at on Instagram. Carly posted a photo of a striped baby’s hat on her Instagram Story, but has not shared anything else yet. According to People, his name is Charles “Charlie” Wolfe Bass. Evan told the magazine, “Delivery was fast and perfect and straight into Mommy’s arms. He is super healthy and everyone is doing well!”

This baby is Carly and Evan’s second child together, and Evan’s fifth — he has three sons from a previous relationship. Carly gave birth to their daughter Isabella “Bella” Bass on February 15, 2018. On May 9, the “Bachelor in Paradise” couple announced on Instagram that they were expecting another baby. In the sweet photo, Evan and Carly both showed their bellies while Bella had a hilarious expression on her face. Evan held onto a six-pack of beer while Carly showed their sonograms.

Carly captioned the photo, “Beer Belly, Bella Belly, BABY BELLY!!! We so SO EXCITED to FINALLY announce Bella’s little brother or sister will be here in November!!!”

When it came to the baby’s big sex reveal, the parents brought it back to where their relationship all started: “Bachelor in Paradise.” They sat onstage alongside fellow “Paradise” parents Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert and newlyweds Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone at the “Paradise” Reunion in September. At the show, Chris Harrison cued a large cake to be rolled out, and Wells Adams jumped out in a light blue onesie.

On September 17, Evan posted a photo of himself with Bella, Carly, Wells and his fiancée Sarah Hyland. He captioned it, “An ancient proverb: there is no greater friend than he that will lay down his own brand for another by jumping out of a cake on#BachelorInParadise. LOVE YOU WELLSY 4EVER ITS A BOY ITS A BOY THE BASS NAME HAS A BETTER CHANCE AT MAKING IT UNTIL 2329 (when my ointment line comes out).”

In October, Carly and Jade called into an episode of “Bachelor Happy Hour” and talked to Rachel Lindsay and Krystal Nielson about motherhood and what they get mom-shamed about the most. Carly joked, “Breathing.”

She said, “The most intense things are ‘Do you vaccinate your kids or do you not vaccinate your kids?’ which we usually don’t even talk about. There are things like sleep training. ‘Do you let your kids cry it out or do you not let them cry it out?’ ‘How long do you breastfeed?’ ‘It’s a little chilly outside. Why doesn’t your kid have a coat on? Why does your kid not have shoes on? They can step on something.’”

Carly added, “The big stuff to the small stuff — it doesn’t end.”
