Jason Tartick Surprises Kaitlyn Bristowe with a New Rescue Puppy Named Pinot
Jason Tartick and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s family just grew by one (and four paws)!
The Bachelor Nation couple announced their “Christmas surprise” on Sunday: their new puppy, Pinot. They adopted Pinot from Bunny’s Buddies, the same rescue organization where they got Ramen.
Jason captioned a photo of the family of four, “A Christmas surprise came early! We now have Ramen with a side of Pinot! Welcoming our newest addition, ‘Pinot G’ to the family. With the help of @bunnysbuddies we rescued Pinot, who was in the exact same Kill shelter as Ramen.”
Bunny’s Buddies also shared the story about how Jason surprised Kaitlyn with the new puppy. They wrote on Instagram, “I sent Kaitlin [sic] a photo of Pinot a few weeks back because he reminded me so much of Ramen and it was instant love. Jason texted me right away and said he wanted to surprise Kaitlyn with him so I said, let’s do it.”

The caption continued, “This was a HARD secret to keep, not only from Kaitlyn but from the World too as these two are unbearably cute and truly best friends. So so happy for all!”
Kaitlyn shared some details about Pinot on her Instagram and wrote them from her canine’s point of view to “tell everyone a little bit about myself!” Pinot wrote, “I’m quite a character if I do say so myself. My name was pinot before I even met my forever family, so I think it’s meant to be. We think I’m around 1, but it’s hard to say. I weigh 52lbs. I still look and act like a puppy, and my mom and dad laugh at how big my paws are.”
Bunny’s Buddies rescued Pinot and Ramen from the same kill shelter. Pinot shared, “When we met, I swear we both knew what each other had been through and bonded right away. I don’t think this happens very often. But patience is always key with us, and we always come around.”

Pinot’s “favorite thing” to do is “jump on mom or dad and lay as closely as I can to their face.” He feels “so thankful to be rescued and have a safe home.”
Other Bachelor Nation alumni also adopted puppies from Bunny’s Buddies, which rescues dogs from kill shelters, slaughterhouses and meat farms. Becca Kufrin and her fiancé Garrett Yrigoyen welcomed Corgi puppy Minno into their family a few months ago. Minno has traveled with her parents all over the country, and she even had a playdate with Jason and Kaitlyn’s dog in October.
Pinot joins the club of adorable Bachelor Nation pets, and we’re lucky to have him!
