Arie & Lauren Luyendyk Celebrate 1-Year Anniversary — Look Back at Their Major Year
Arie and Lauren Luyendyk rang in their one-year wedding anniversary by reliving one of their favorite moments.
They tied the knot on January 12, 2019, at Haiku Mill in Maui, Hawaii, in a ceremony that Chris Harrison officiated. Some Bachelor Nation alumni attended the wedding, including Sean and Catherine Lowe, and John Wolfner, who also appeared on Emily Maynard’s season of “The Bachelorette.”
On Sunday, Arie and Lauren posted photos and videos on social media documenting how they celebrated their anniversary. They kicked off the day by taking their 8-month-old daughter Alessi on a hike at Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, and they kept her warm by dressing her in a white bear onesie.
At one point in their trek, the family of three stopped for a picnic at their “secret” spot. While there, they rested on a blue blanket surrounded by rose petals and munched on some snacks before walking back down the mountain.
Later that night, Lauren surprised Arie with a romantic dinner. Before heading off to the restaurant, she instructed him to wear his wedding tuxedo as she, too, donned her wedding dress.
To top it off, Lauren rented a white Lamborghini, which she called “the getaway car we never got at our wedding.” They also brought along their written vows, which they framed. Their rose petal-strewn dinner table positioned them to look out at Phoenix’s sweeping landscape as they sipped on champagne for their romantic evening.

On Monday, Arie said in an Instagram Story video that he “screwed up and got pulled over” in the Lamborghini, and he guesses it’s “going to be a bad ticket.”
Arie and Lauren’s first year as a married couple included many life milestones, including welcoming Alessi and having an impromptu wedding ceremony in Las Vegas.
