Tenley Molzahn Makes a 2020 'Action Plan' to Get Over Feeling 'Discouraged'
Tenley Molzahn is heading into the future with an “action plan” in mind.
On Thursday, Tenley uploaded a video where she talked about feeling like she hadn’t accomplished as much as she had hoped thus far into 2020.
She wrote in the video’s caption, “I’m NOT where I thought I’d be at this point this new year! But I’m putting an action plan in place. Baby steps, a whole lot of grace, starting things in the moment (rather than waiting) & celebrating where I’m at today!”
Tenley explained in her caption and video that she’s had “funky New Years that have completely derailed” her.

In her video, which shows her sitting on a bench at the beach, Tenley says, “Hey friends, we are officially halfway through the first month of the year. How are you feeling about that? To be honest, I was feeling quite discouraged of where I’m at and the things I had planned on doing to start the new year.”
The “Bachelor” Season 14 cast member said she was “just taking a moment” and had to walk away “from the things I had to get done today,” which brought her to the beach.
Tenley admitted she always “assumed” resolutions would automatically switch on at the start of the new year. She hoped she’d “start being able to do all the things that I was planning on having done in the first couple weeks of the new year.”
However, “Every year, that doesn’t happen.”
Instead, life happens. Tenley said there has always been some sort of “disruptor,” such as “illness, a breakup, devastating life changes, emergencies, travels.”
Now, Tenley is ready and prepared with “an action plan” in mind. In the past, she’s created a “January #TenWithTen” program, which encompasses “challenging myself to workout at least 10 minutes in addition to my daily routine.”
However, this year, she didn’t get around to it, which made her feel “like a failure.”
She encouraged her followers to continue with the program anyway. “No matter where you’re at, give yourself those 10 minutes daily,” she said. “In addition, give yourself another 10 minutes to just check in with yourself and all the things that feed your soul.”
She added, “Find one thing and say, ‘This is where I’m beginning.’”
Tenley reassured her followers, “Know that you are not alone. I found so much discouragement year after year, but there’s no need because you are not alone. There’s so much time. Have a lot of grace for yourself. Start with baby steps and celebrate where you are today.”
She concluded, “If you are in a moment of sadness, go ahead and feel those feels. Journal, and then think of moving forward. Start with one step.”

Tenley was the runner-up on Jake Pavelka’s season of “The Bachelor” and later went on “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 2 and the inaugural season of “Bachelor Pad.” In 2016, she got set up with Taylor Leopold, whom her friend met in a Bible study group. Taylor proposed to Tenley in January 2018, and they got married on April 27, 2018, in San Marcos, California.
