Experience Park City, Utah, Like Becca Kufrin on 'The Bachelorette'
Becca Kufrin bundled up and traveled to this idyllic ski town in her search for love on Season 14 of “The Bachelorette.” Unearth your long underwear from the attic and dust off those boots, because here’s your chance to enjoy a romantic getaway in Becca’s snow-filled footsteps.
Arrival
You can take your pick of ski resorts and smaller hotels to stay at during your visit to Park City.
Becca, for instance, checked in to the Zermatt Utah Adventure Resort & Spa, a Swiss-inspired hotel that feels like you just walked into the Alps. After relaxing by the fireside for a bit, hit the town and see precisely why all your friends travel here for winter break.
Park City and Utah really embrace the “Old West” spirit. If that inspires you and your traveling group at all, you can stop at a store like Burns Cowboy Shop and pick up a new pair of boots, belts, or shirts. It’s time to say “yee-haw” to this adventure!
One-on-one date: O(lympics)-M-G
Salt Lake City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, and Park City served as another main venue space for the Games. Put your love to the test at Utah Olympic Park and see if a bobsled can handle your chemistry. If so, you might have just found your gold medal partner!
Becca and her date learned the bobsled basics from Olympians Valerie Fleming and Shauna Rohbock. You may not get that exact level of instruction when you visit, but trying out the same course as Olympians nonetheless sounds like a win-win. End the day with a romantic champagne toast and a kiss to top off that victorious feeling.
Granger Smith serenaded Becca and her date at O.P. Rockwell, a lounge in the heart of Park City. They regularly hosts shows and private events, so look no further if you’re hoping to share an intimate dance floor kiss.
After this date, you won’t want to pass the torch to anyone else.
Group date: In high spirits
It’s group date time!
Hanging out in large parties can oftentimes feel overwhelming, but not when you’re in the right atmosphere. Becca and the guys spend the afternoon at at High West Distillery, which produces barrels of whiskey, bourbon, rye, and more. “Cocktail party” just took on a whole new meaning!
If you decide to follow Becca’s itinerary, you can sample High West’s products to your heart’s content (but do so responsibly!) at their tasting room or one of their select restaurants.
While you wine and dine, ask your companions about their favorite tidbit of information they learned at the tasting room. Maybe you’ll share the same one as someone else and bond over that.
One-on-one date: This is snow joke
If skiing and snowboarding aren’t your forte but you still want to take a trip down the mountains, consider taking in the sights on a snowmobile. Operations such as Snowmobile Adventures take individuals or couples on tours of the famous trails. This way, you can enjoy the scenery without having to remember whether “pizza” or “French fries” means braking on your skis. Plus, you’ll get to wrap your arms around your date the entire time! It’s PDA without any of the effort.
After a day out on the slopes, you can be like Becca and have a romantic dinner at the chateau-style Blue Boar Inn, which boasts an award-winning chef in an ambiance filled with love.
Becca and her date took a dip in Homestead Crater after their meal, and if you opt for the same, you can find out if your love really can survive all the elements.
Rose ceremony
If you want another mini outing, you can venture to Wolf Creek Ranch for an escape to nature with your own mini rose ceremony.
Whether you visit in the sun or the snow, cold weather will be no match as your relationship heats up in Park City.
