Experience Nah Trang, Vietnam, Like Colton Underwood on 'The Bachelor'
It’s time to put Nah Trang, Vietnam, on your radar! This oceanside town on Vietnam’s southeastern coast fuses nature and adventure to create an ideal romantic escape. Backpackers, vacationers, and scuba divers alike flock to Nah Trang for its pristine coastline, green scenery, fresh cuisine, and bustling nightlife.
Colton Underwood traveled here on Season 23 of “The Bachelor,” and here’s how you can follow suit if you add Nah Trang to any upcoming itineraries.
Arrival
As soon as you arrive in Nah Trang, you’ll want to head straight to the beach for a day of soaking up the sun and kicking back by the water. Colton and the ladies checked in to The Anam resort, which includes villas, pools, and plenty of activities within steps of the ocean. If rest and relaxation call your name instead, sit by the pool with your group and stare out at the great expanse.
One-on-one date: Let’s get muddy
You would be remiss to travel to Vietnam and not partake in any of the world-famous spa selections. Colton and his date went to Thap Ba Spa, and we highly suggest you do the same!
Make it an intimate moment for two by wrapping yourself in banana leaves, massaging each other with essential oils, or lathering snail face and body cream on each other. If you want to turn up the heat, take a dip in the steamy hot springs or end the day with a relaxing mud bath. Anyone who says mud baths aren’t sexy… you clearly have never seen “The Bachelor”!
Group date: Battle for the heart
From Muay Thai in Thailand to karate in Japan, most martial arts derive from countries all over Asia. Vovinam is no exception. Just like Colton and the ladies, immerse yourself in the Vietnamese fighting style by taking lessons and learning the ropes at Hai Thai Ancient House. We promise that working up a sweat has never been so much fun!
After your fun-filled day learning your new-found pastime, have dinner and talk about how to strengthen your connection. Don’t forgot to use all the lessons from your day of martial arts!
One-on-one date: Uni and me forever
While you’re staying right next to the water, take advantage of the location, get a boat for the day, and hit the high seas for some fun!
Just like the Bachelor, you can cruise to the next level and learn how to pick sea urchin (considered an aphrodisiac by some) and scoop them up from the ocean floor. Wrap up your adventure by taking in all your hard work. Head back to land where you can dine on your freshly caught seafood. Talk about enjoying the labors of love!
Rose ceremony
To end a beautiful week in Vietnam, Colton held his rose ceremony back at the resort. If you want to follow suit, cap off your adventure with a stroll through The Anam grounds, hand-in-hand with your own personal rose recipient, and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
If all else fails, sprinkle some rose petals at your candlelit champagne toast under the stars.
