Why Becca Kufrin Thinks Victoria F. 'Doesn't Seem That Into' Peter Weber
Peter Weber's Hometown Dates on Monday's episode of "The Bachelor" proved to be, well, quite dramatic.
After traveling from Knoxville, Tennessee, to Des Moines, Iowa, and then Auburn, Alabama, Peter went to Virginia Beach, Virginia, to meet Victoria’s family. However, that portion of their date didn’t take place, because the Bachelor and Victoria got into an argument. Despite their contentious tête-à-tête, Peter kept Victoria around for Fantasy Suite dates and sent Kelsey packing.
Naturally, Bachelor Nation members — and "Bachelor Happy Hour" — have some thoughts about Peter and Victoria's complex relationship.
Garrett Yrigoyen and Bryan Abasolo joined Becca Kufrin and Rachel Lindsay in the “Bachelor Happy Hour” studio, where they discussed Hometown Dates and why they believe Victoria is a “runner.”
Bryan noted, “[Peter] has said he wants somebody to love him with as much love as he puts out. It just seems like Victoria isn’t ready to pour out those feelings. I don’t know if something happened in her past that she’s ‘a runner’ and doesn’t give you all the answers, but I think he’s just searching for that answer.”
Garrett added, “She’s a runner and he preaches he wants family and loyalty. Do you want a wife who runs away when something gets tough?”
Becca had other thoughts on why Victoria acts a certain way. “She doesn’t even seem that into him,” she commented. “She’s always trying to give him this out. She’s always saying ‘I don’t know, I don’t know what I want.’ She uses these excuses. I truly, truly think at the root of it that she’s just not that into him and she wants to be.”
Rachel agreed with Becca, saying, “Let’s call a spade a spade. She’s made it to the top four, she’s in the running to be the next Bachelorette. I think that’s where she’s like, Peace out, I’ve made it as far as I need to come to make it to ‘The Bachelorette.’”
The Season 13 Bachelorette continued, “Let me tell you something, Victoria F.: To be the Bachelorette, you have to be able to have an opinion, to form a sentence. To make a declarative statement, to pull things out of people and to be able to communicate. I haven’t seen her do any of this. The only time I’ve seen her complete a sentence is when she’s singing the lyrics to a country song.”
Bryan noted, “That always happens with women and men — you want something you can’t have.”
Garrett agreed and believes it “boils down to him trying to dig deep and get her to come out of her shell.”
Rachel asked the men their thoughts about Victoria showing up at Peter’s hotel room after their big fight, and commented, “If tears were words, Victoria F. would win a Pulitzer Prize. That’s the only way she knows how to communicate.”
Garrett replied he “wasn’t shocked” about that happening. “He really wants her to come out of the shell and he’s chasing it,” he added.
