Clare Crawley Is the Season 16 Bachelorette!
Bachelor Nation, we have big news: The Season 16 Bachelorette is none other than Clare Crawley!
Clare first appeared on Juan Pablo Galavis' season of "The Bachelor" (Season 18), making it to the final two. However, Juan Pablo handed his final rose to Nikki Ferrell over Clare.
She didn't let that dampen her hopes at finding love, returning for more chances at love on "Bachelor in Paradise" Seasons 1 and 2 as well as on "The Bachelor Winter Games." She got engaged to Benoît Beauséjour-Savard after "Winter Games," but they ended their relationship after a few months.
Now, Clare will be the one handing out roses on "The Bachelorette" as she searches for a man to sweep her off her feet. Clare's announcement came on "Good Morning America" Monday morning, and she explained which qualities she's looking for in a future husband.

She shared on the show, "The most important thing is I want a man that will take off his armor. I want a man who is strong, but is willing to take off the body armor, open himself up and be vulnerable, and I think that is some serious strength right there."
Additionally, Clare mainly focuses on "what's on the inside" rather than physical attributes. "It's more if they go out of their way for me and they make me feel special, because this is about me now and I'm ready for it," she said.
Clare, who at 38 is the oldest Bachelorette so far, explained she's "proud" of her age and sees it as a benefit more than anything else.
She said, "A lot of people put it out there as this negative thing, but for me, it just is more years under my belt, more learning and knowing what I want, what I don't want and what I won't settle for."

Clare joked she's "known to date younger guys, so that's not a problem." She turned it around on the men and stated, "The thing is, I'm wondering if they're ready for me, for my age. I feel like that would be more of an issue, than me with them, because I feel so much younger at heart than my actual age."
Clare, who lives in Northern California with her two dogs, Elbie and Honey, loves spending time outdoors in nature. Now, it's time to see which man will make the cut for this hairstylist!
Season 16 of "The Bachelorette" premieres Monday, May 18, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
