Dean Unglert & Caelynn Miller-Keyes' Dog Will Instantly Improve Your Instagram Feed
Sure, #DogsOfInstagram is a popular trend, but have you seen Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes' dog, Pappy?
What began as them fostering Pappy in January turned into a full-fledged adoption once they realized they couldn’t live without the dog’s sweet smile and Yoda-like ears. Dean shared the story of how they found Pappy and the "sign" that he was meant to be theirs.
Dean explained in his Instagram caption that he and Caelynn went to an animal shelter to look for dogs to foster, but they had to make sure the canine wouldn't be too hard to handle due to Dean's injured leg.

The 28-year-old said they "actually saw pappy there too but couldn’t see him for some unknown reason." The next day, they visited Wags and Walks, another rescue organization, and "lo and behold, pappy was there!"
Dean and Caelynn instantly "took it as a sign and took him home as fast as we could."
Pappy became an official member of the family on February 25. Dean wrote in an Instagram caption that day that he and Caelynn never intended to adopt him, but "he left us no choice."

He shared, "This old geezer comes with a laundry list of health complications so we decided to fill his waning years on earth with as much love as we possibly can."
Pappy has already traveled all over California and the Pacific Northwest in his few short months with Dean and Caelynn (he apparently loves the van). The three recently returned from a trip to Oregon, where they soaked up the state's natural beauty, from the coast to the mountains.
