Ashley Iaconetti & Jared Haibon Share Their Timeline for Having Kids
Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon are perfectly aware that people really want them to start having children, but they have their own timeline set up for that.
The happy couple, who tied the knot on August 11 in Rhode Island, spoke with Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin on a new episode of "Bachelor Happy Hour" all about their long-term plans. Rachel broached the subject of how Ashley responds to the big "When are you having babies?" question, though all four members of the podcast agreed they're the proud parents of their "dog children."
Ashley said, "It’s annoying. I’ll say that the question on the red carpet is usually annoying and you get asked on Instagram, too, all the time. If I do the questions on Instagram, I’ll say, 'Don’t ask me about when we’re getting pregnant.'" However, it inevitably always gets brought up.
Jared and Ashley live in Los Angeles, though both of their families reside on the East Coast. This plays a large role in when and where they want to start a family.
Ashley shared, "In my vows, I even said I would move back to New England because that's how big of a deal it is to [Jared.]"

She later joked, "Rhode Island is like his second girlfriend."
Jared moved to Los Angeles in 2017 and briefly lived with Nick Viall. Right after that happened, "The Bachelor Winter Games" aired. That's when It all changed for Jared.
"I realized I was an idiot," he said. "I needed to up and take some action with Ashley. In the back of my head, I was like, 'Well, if it doesn’t work out with Ashley, I’ll just move back to Rhode Island. That’s not a bad Plan B.'"
Things clearly worked out well for them, as they got engaged in June 2018 and married in 2019. But New England continues to tug at Jared and Ashley's heartstrings. "Where your family and where your heart is, it’s really hard to stay away, especially when you’re in L.A.," Jared admitted.

He continued, "What we talk about realistically, the work is out here. I know why we have to work out here. I miss home. I miss my family. I miss the routine of things. I miss the convenience of things. There’s a different dynamic of being on the West Coast versus the East Coast."
Ashley revealed that their timeline of moving back is "creeping up." She explained, "When we first got together two years ago, we said five years. That would give us another three years here, but I think it’ll be another two years. I think that’s just because the kid thing. I don’t want to have a newborn and then not have family in the area."
Rachel sympathized with Jared and Ashley, telling them she and Bryan were in a similar situation. She said she would be fine having children in a city where her parents didn't live, but "Dallas or Miami is ideal."
