Shawn Booth Mourns His 'Best Friend' and Beloved Dog Tucker
Shawn Booth lost a close and beloved member of his family on Thursday: his dog Tucker.
Shawn shared the sad news on Instagram and wrote about how much his golden retriever meant to him. He posted a photo of himself hugging Tucker, who is wearing a bandanna and smiling. Shawn captioned it, "With the heaviest heart I’ve ever had, I wanted to let you guys know that I lost my best friend today. Tucker passed peacefully in my arms and in the comfort of our backyard."
His tribute to Tucker continued, "I poured every ounce of my heart into him and he gave me his entire heart right back. I’ve never loved anything more and he was the best boy I could ever ask for. I was the luckiest person in the world to have him by my side for 11+ years. I already miss him so much."
Shawn finished with the quote, "If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever."
Many of his Bachelor Nation friends sent their condolences his way, including his ex-fiancée Kaitlyn Bristowe. She commented, "I'm so sorry. This one hurts. You gave him a great life."
She even posted a photo of herself snuggling with her dog, writing, "Hug your pups tight."
Tucker held a prominent place in Shawn’s social media feeds. Whether the pup snuggled with a shirtless Shawn on the couch or they walked down the street, Tucker epitomized what it means to be "man's best friend."
