On Thursday, Kaitlyn dropped her debut single and opened up about the vulnerability and fear she felt before releasing it.

She wrote on Instagram as a caption to a clip of the song, "If I’m being honest, I didn’t think I would ever release this song. I was too afraid, insecure, and kept doing the classic 'what if'. I don’t know who needs to hear this but f*ck the what if’s. This uncertain time has shed light on how important time is."

Kaitlyn explained the song "has been collecting dust for over a year," she felt like she finally reached a point where she was ready to share it with the world.

"Singing has always been something that makes my heart happy," she posited. "So if I’m being honest, Im still feeling insecure, yet PROUD to share this with you now. I even think we can all relate to the lyrics right now."

Kaitlyn's Bachelor Nation friends supported her all over social media and praised her taking the risk and sharing a catchy yet heartfelt tune. Her boyfriend Jason Tartick commented on her post, "What a surreal series of events leading to this moment! You’re an absolute inspiration! Never stop relentlessly being you and achieving your dreams, because your path is empowering all of us to do the same! ❤️"

Becca Kufrin wrote, "Yeeeesss KB! It’s so good and I’m so proud of you! Now excuse me as I put this on repeat"

Desiree Hartsock Siegfried added, "👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 It’s SOO good!! So proud of all you do! Such an inspiration 😘"

Ali Fedotowsky-Manno dubbed "If I'm Being Honest" her "new summer song," and Lauren Luyendyk commended her for being "brave enough to put this out there."

Aside from her blossoming singing career, Kaitlyn runs her own wine label called Spade & Sparrows as well as a line of hair accessories named Dew, hosts a hit podcast "Off the Vine," and is a dog mom to two adorable golden retrievers, Ramen and Pinot.

Hours before Kaitlyn's song went live, Jason posted a video of the two of them lip syncing to the song "Part of Your World" from "The Little Mermaid," calling it their "audition tape to be judges on the Finale of listen to your heart."
