Astrid Loch Gives Update on Her & Kevin Wendt's Wedding
Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt's wedding is scheduled for November, but whether or not they walk down the aisle in a few months depends on some larger details out of her control.
The "Bachelor in Paradise" alumna shared updates about her upcoming nuptials on her Instagram Story Wednesday, including where she's at in her planning process, as well as some decorative details.
Astrid began, "As of now, we are continuing to plan the wedding as if it’s still happening in November. Our planner has been super amazing at keeping me on track and not stressing. The biggest issue right now is that if we wanted to move it, a lot of our deposits would be lost."
She explained that venues and vendors may be "a little more lenient" if she and Kevin have to cancel or reschedule closer to their wedding date. Astrid said they have "120, 130 guests, so it's not too big" of a wedding party. Additionally, Astrid found her wedding dress and Kevin has his tuxedos, as well as photographers and a videographer.

The 30-year-old said, "We were supposed to go down for our tastings next month, but the borders are still closed, so we gotta push that off for a little bit longer." Astrid and Kevin live in Canada, but their wedding will take place in her home state of Florida.
In other posts on her Instagram Story, Astrid shared some color schemes and decor ideas for the big day, including twinkle lights and flower crowns. Astrid revealed she'll "make quite the entrance" because she'll walks down a flower-lined set of stairs before going down the aisle. She wants to "keep it classy, minimalistic, and timeless," so guests will dine at family-style tables.
Kevin popped the question to Astrid during a romantic picnic after a bike ride on August 28. In October, the newly engaged couple called into "Bachelor Happy Hour" and provided some specifics about the special day.

The Toronto-based firefighter called his photographer the day of the proposal and asked her to "hide in the weeds and make yourself unseen for a few hours" while he got everything set up. He tricked her into thinking they were filming Instagram ads, which annoyed Astrid at first.
He said on the podcast, "When we set up the ad, I made it seem like I was making the picture perfect, so I told her, 'Stand over there. I’m going to put the wine glass here.' When I had her move her bike out of the way, I grabbed the ring out of my bag and shoved it in my jeans."
Kevin "could see the moment where I went from 'Stand here for the ad' to speaking my heart to her and seeing her face go 'holy f—king s—t, this is happening.'"
Astrid called it a "crazy, surreal moment" and Kevin said he'd "never seen that before — her reaction."
He designed the ring herself at his family's store, Wendt's Jewellery. He shared, "Rather than having the exact ring that she might pick out herself, I thought I would take more of the effort in blowing her socks off."
It worked out well because, Astrid said, "If I designed a ring myself, it would have been this exact ring."
