Arie & Lauren Luyendyk Go All Out For Alessi's 1st Birthday
The party don’t start till Alessi rolls in!
Arie and Lauren Luyendyk pulled out all the stops when it came to celebrating their daughter’s first birthday. Alessi turned 1 on May 29, and her parents decorated the interior and exterior of their house with colorful adornments commemorating her big day.
Lauren and Arie placed giant lawn letters in front of their home that spelled out "Happy 1st Birthday Alessi." There was also a lawn sign with a unicorn, a cake, and candles. Inside, Alessi played around in a pink and white ball pit with a basketball hoop to help her hone her future WNBA skills.
Arie said in an Instagram Story about their daughter's big milestone, "We can't wait to spend the day with her. We have a lot of surprises. We're going to spoil her."
One of those surprises happened to be a white Range Rover to match the one her parents own! It was, of course, not a full-size one, but it’s motorized. They even put a pink bow on the front of it.

Alessi isn't the only one celebrating a big year. Arie and Lauren marked their one-year wedding anniversary in January, and they even tied the knot again in September at a ceremony in Las Vegas.
In December, Arie and Lauren joined an episode of "Bachelor Happy Hour" and opened up about parenting and how they decided on their daughter's name. The "Bachelor" couple initially thought they were having a boy, but once they found out Lauren was pregnant with a girl, they immediately changed their baby-naming strategy.
Lauren explained on the podcast, "I looked up every girl’s name online and I was reading them to Arie for two days straight and finally I came across Alessia, and he said, 'What if we drop the A so it’s Alessi?' We both just thought it sounded pretty, so that’s how we did it."
