Dean & Caelynn Address Those Marriage Rumors Once and For All
Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes have finally answered one of Bachelor Nation’s most asked questions.
The couple chatted with Chris Harrison on Monday’s episode of "The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!" which looked back at Ben Higgins' time as the Bachelor. Chris asked, "Dean, I can see a ring on your finger. I’m going to ask you once and for all for Bachelor Nation: Are you guys married?"
Dean wears a black ring on his ring finger, which caused the rumor mill to start churning about his and Caelynn’s relationship status a few months ago. They quelled any and all theories about their supposed engagement or marriage in their response.
The Colorado native began, "Well, Chris, here’s the thing. I don’t think, in my opinion, that I need the title of 'husband' to show the world that I’m committed to one person. The fact that I’m wearing a ring is showing just that. I’m committed to Caelynn and only Caelynn, and that’s why I’ve been wearing it for the past six or so months."
Dean explained that Caelynn also has a "fun little ring," but it's "not the traditional ring of marriage or engagement ring."
He continued, "It’s our way of telling the world and the people we’re around that we are committed to each other. For her, it’s one of those comforting things where you can wake up in the morning and see your partner wearing that ring and being like, 'Yes, they know that I’m committed to them, and vice versa.'"
Caelynn responded that the rings mean "the same thing" to her. She said, "He started wearing a hair tie on his ring finger just to fight women off. I liked the idea and we talked about getting rings. It’s nice to know that we are in this strong, committed relationship without necessarily having to get the government involved, as Dean likes to say."
Chris inquired if he could "pronounce you husband and wife," seeing as how he is an ordained minister and has officiated a fair share of Bachelor and Bachelorette weddings.

Dean joked, "I don’t know if Zoom or Skype is the proper forum for this, but if it ever comes to us wanting to get the government involved, you’re at the top of our list."
Earlier this week, Caelynn and Dean celebrated their one-year anniversary. They met on Season 6 of "Bachelor in Paradise" and quickly became one of the strongest couples on the beach. A few weeks later, Dean blindsided Caelynn and broke up with her after a Rose Ceremony (on her birthday, no less). He later returned, begged for her forgiveness, and asked her to leave Mexico with him to start a relationship.
She accepted, and they’ve been happy as can be ever since. Their relationship has taken them to all corners of the world, and those adventures won’t stop any time soon.
