Jade Roper Opens Up About Being Pregnant During Coronavirus
Jade Roper’s pregnancy is a bit different this time around.
Jade and her husband Tanner Tolbert are expecting their third child together, which they announced May 18. Unlike her first two pregnancies, Jade and Tanner are navigating the process with the cloud of a global pandemic over their heads.
On Thursday, Jade took to Instagram and opened up about her baby’s health and talked about what it was like to be pregnant during the coronavirus pandemic.
She said, "I'm totally with you with this feeling of how weird it is to be pregnant with COVID and feeling like our family members and loved ones aren’t able to be a part of it as much."
Jade thinks quarantine "doesn’t take away from the specialness of it," but called it a "bummer" nonetheless. She explained earlier in her Instagram Story that she just had her 20-week anatomy scan and Tanner joined her for that. However, he hasn’t been able to attend her other OB-GYN appointments. Jade explained she plans on giving birth at a birthing center with a midwife (and not in their master bedroom closet like what happened with Brooks).

The "Bachelor" alumna shared in her Stories that "everything checked out normal" for the baby at the anatomy scan. It weighs 12 ounces, which she says "is a normal weight for right now."
Jade and Tanner do not yet know the sex of the baby, but they plan on having a reveal sometime in the near future. According to Jade, she and her husband "have our guesses on what we think it is."
She said, "I have a couple ideas based on a couple things I’ve noticed or picked up on, but Tanner goes by his gut. He thinks it’s a girl."
Their eldest, Emmy, "wants a little sister."
Plus, Jade revealed that Brooks "finally said Dada!"
In an Instagram Q&A on her Stories, Jade admitted this pregnancy is "slightly harder" than her other two.
"I think just because we have two little humans to look after, so the exhaustion is real, even though I’m getting decent sleep," she wrote in her response. "With Emmy and Brooks, the second trimesters were breezy! This time around I already feel VERY pregnant. Lots of pressure and throbbing and pains already on my lady parts."

In June, Jade showed her growing baby bump in a mirror selfie and provided her followers with a "bump-date" on the baby’s progress. She said in her caption, "I'm thinking this is our last baby, so wanting to soak up every moment (laughing at myself when I say this cuz our kids keep us crazy busy lol) and document everything since it’ll be the last of the firsts."
Jade explained she loves the mornings because "little baby likes to make a bigger appearance and I can feel some tiny flutters!"
