Brooks hit a milestone in his life Tuesday as he took his first steps, which Jade recorded. In the video, Brooks walks over to Jade after standing in front of his dad. Jade calls, "Come here, Brooksy. Come here, Brooksy. Look at you!"

After he makes it over to his mom, he falls into her arms with a giant smile on his face. She captioned the sweet video, "FIRST STEPS!! Someone’s a big boy!! He’s gonna be keeping us REALLY busy now!"

Brooks' big achievement comes one week before his first birthday. Jade "accidentally" gave birth to Brooks July 29, 2019, in her master bedroom closet, though it was "not at all what I had planned."

She wrote on Instagram July 30, "Long story short, my waters broke and 75 minutes later I gave birth to our healthy baby boy while clutching a bench in our closet. It was one of the scariest moments of my life because I felt so out of control, but Tanner, Tanner’s mom, my mom and the medics and firefighters kept me going when I felt like the world was caving in on me and my unborn baby."

She called it a "whirlwind" labor in a podcast episode a few weeks later. She explained she took a bath after her water broke to help her time her contractions. Jade said, "I’m in the bathroom and I see my face, and my eyes looked so distant. I could tell I was going into labor."

She rushed into the closet and Tanner helped her put on a shirt and gym shorts. She described, "I scream this blood-curdling scream as I’m doing this contraction because I’m pushing at this point. I just realized I was not going to make it to the hospital in time. There’s no way I could safely go."

The paramedics arrived just in time, and "after two pushes, he came out."

Brooks' big blue eyes and bright smile are a major presence on Jade and Tanner’s social media pages. Plus, Brooks will soon be a big brother! The "Bachelor in Paradise" couple announced May 18 they are expecting their third child.

Jade wrote on Instagram, "Although this time has its uncertainties, we are so thankful and excited for this baby. I truly believe babies being born during this time are here for a special reason, to be light workers. We are beyond happy to love another baby, to give Emmy and Brooks another sibling and to have our children be so close! #partyof5 #babynumber3."

On July 14, the family had a gender reveal and learned that they will be having a boy! Tanner told "E! News" after the reveal, "It's pretty awesome we are having two boys so close in age. I'm excited to see them grow up and be so close and hopefully be a little competitive with each other."
