Lesley Murphy Goes 'Shopping' for Wedding Venues
Lesley Murphy has a wedding to plan, and there are some "prerequisites" for the big day.
On Wednesday, Lesley posted a photo of her and fiancé Alex Kavanagh standing with the Rocky Mountains behind them. She captioned the picture, which was geotagged in Telluride, Colorado, "Shopping for the best wedding venues in Colorado. Prerequisite: damn good views."
Alex proposed to Lesley on February 4 after a year of dating. They both shared the happy news on Instagram one day later. She captioned a photo of them walking on the beach as she holds up her engagement ring hand, "2/4/2💍, a day I’ll never forget. We’re boarding a plane as we speak to meet my parents in New Zealand! Looking forward to processing the last 24 hours of this incredible life at 35,000 feet."

Alex, a drone pilot, flew the ring in via drone. Lesley called it "fitting" because they "met through a broken drone."
Alex, who hails from Australia, provided some backstory to their relationship in his post about the engagement.
He shared, "I’ve known Lesley has been the one for a very long time. Ever since she walked through that gate of my old house back in 2018 in need of her drone being fixed, which I didn’t fix... I knew I wanted to get to know Lesley more after our first interaction, this stunning ray of light with the kindest heart was single?! Not sure how this was humanly possible, but it was! LUCKY ME!"
The photographer said he had been "planning this proposal for months." The "over the top" day involved "5 drones, 3 cinematographers, 3 photographers all capturing the moment."

They went public with their relationship in January 2019 when the "Bachelor" Season 17 alumna posted a photo of them kissing atop a mountain in Norway. She wrote, "Boy meets world🌎World, meet boy. Thought it was about time to let y’all in on the newest addition to The Road Les Traveled! We’re 3 continents down together...with the next one being Alex’s home country soon🇦🇺Finally making it to hometowns y’all :)"
According to Lesley's Instagram post about the proposal, the adventure to Norway was their ninth date.
She explained, "I knew this would be one for the books...but I didn’t know then that it would be the most epic love story. Cut to 18 months later, we’ve now seen over 25 countries together! I can’t believe he has said YES to every adventure with me since that fateful day we me."
In June, Lesley revealed that she and Alex postponed their wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic. They were initially supposed to tie the knot October 10, 2020.
She wrote on Instagram, "I’ve always loved the idea of October and I like even numbers. 10+10=20. It doesn’t get any easier than that. When the virus hit, that date seemed less and less likely to be ours. And that’s okay. There’s one special day that’ll scream #ToKavAndToHold and it’ll be ours for the taking!"
Lesley said their "biggest challenge" is "getting our families together being on two separate continents during the pandemic."
Lesley and Alex have been all over the world together, and it’s clear that their married life together is just the beginning of their adventures.
Congrats, Alex and Lesley! We can’t wait to see what "damn good views" you have in your future.
