Krystal Nielson & Chris Randone 'Move Forward with Filing for Divorce'
Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson announced Thursday that they are moving forward with divorce proceedings. They first revealed their decision to separate in February.
Chris shared in an interview with Us Weekly that he received paperwork from Krystal regarding the divorce. The "Bachelorette" alum, however, is viewing it all from a "place of love and compassion."
"There are just things in life you can't control," he said.
Chris explained he feels "grateful" for his time with Krystal and has "no regrets" about their relationship.
He said, "I’m making sure that I’m a priority and I’m going to be focusing on what’s going to help me become better moving forward."

Time in quarantine helped Chris heal and "process the divorce." Spending time alone "legitimately helped me understand myself, helped me understand the pain, the grief."
Krystal wrote a statement on Instagram Thursday discussing how the "past 8 months have not been easy."
She shared, "I’ve been torn between mourning a life that could’ve been…and determined to fight for the future that I know I deserve. With respect and support for one another, Chris and I have decided to move forward with filing for divorce."
Her note continued, "We are grateful for the events that brought us to find one another, as we have been great teachers on our journey of personal discovery and growth. I believe that there can be beauty inside of pain when we have the courage to look within with compassion and a willingness to grow."
Chris released a statement on his Instagram Story Thursday evening and wrote about how he feels nothing but love for Krystal. He said, "Life is crazy but so beautiful at the same time. As painful as divorce is, I'm so grateful & blessed for the last couple years spent with Krystal. We will have many memories forever & I could never say anything bad about her. She's my best friend I've ever had."
The Florida native explained how they "learned so much from one another" and that there's "so much positive to take from this experience."
Chris does not view the marriage as a "failure" because "we evolved into better versions of ourselves."
He continued, "I'll always wish things turned out different & as much as we'd like, not everything last forever, including relationships."
Chris concluded, "I'll always be there for Krystal & support her with love & compassion."
