Trista Sutter Writes Heartfelt Message as Her Kids Head Back to School
The new school year looks vastly different for many students, whether that means at-home learning or in-person classes.
Trista and Ryan Sutter’s kids Maxwell and Blakesley had their first day of school Tuesday, and Trista wrote a heartfelt note to her children on the eve of their return. She shared a current photo of Maxwell and Blakesley on a swing set, as well as another one where her kids were much younger but doing the same activity.
The Season 1 Bachelorette began her caption, "'Did you say we go back to school tomorrow?!' Oh yes. That I did, my sweet babies. I love you more than you may ever know, but I think we all understand that this is what’s best for mommy’s sanity and your brains."

Trista continued, "Summertime was a bit different with a lot less travel, a lot more screentime, forest fires, fear, isolation, and a new confusing normal but it was also filled with magic, like this recreated pic from our first trip to Ouray. They may not be as excited as I am for the start of their 6th and 7th grade years, but I am hopeful that even with masks, no change in classrooms, social distancing, partitions, and lots of handwashing that they’ll thrive and continue to make me proud."

Trista, Ryan, and the kids enjoyed a mini vacation before getting their school supplies packed for middle school. The family of four traveled to Ridgway State Park in Colorado, where they went hiking, camping, and paddleboarding, and explored the great outdoors.
Best of luck in the new school year, Maxwell and Blakesley!
