Why Andi Dorfman Thinks Clare Crawley Will Have a 'Tough' Time as Bachelorette
Andi Dorfman and Clare Crawley both got their start in Bachelor Nation during Juan Pablo Galavis’ season of "The Bachelor." Now, Clare joins Andi among the ranks of the 16 Bachelorettes.
Andi can empathize with Clare’s situation, and as her peer and as someone who has been in her shoes, Andi has some thoughts about Clare’s role as Bachelorette. Andi joined Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin on a new episode of "Bachelor Happy Hour," where they talked about the upcoming "Bachelorette" season — which premieres Tuesday, October 13 — as well as Andi’s recent move to Los Angeles.
Rachel and Becca asked Andi how she felt watching Clare as the Bachelorette, and Andi told the "Happy Hour" hosts she was "excited" for Clare. Andi also said she thought it was going to be "difficult for [Clare]."
The Season 10 Bachelorette said, "Knowing how emotional she is and how much she wants this specific outcome — I’ve talked to her about it and told her the outcome’s not guaranteed — I feel like it’s going to be emotionally tough for her."
Clare joined "Bachelor Happy Hour" in June and explained her mindset walking into her new season. Rachel said she felt viewers would appreciate Clare’s season and Clare as a lead because "people will love to see her take control."
Andi responded, "Her motivation will never be questioned. She’s absolutely going in there to find a husband. My advice to her was, 'I know what your motivation is. You’re on the right track with that. No one is going to question your reasoning for being there. But if that person isn’t there, you don’t have to manifest a husband out of this. There’s no guarantee.'"
She continued, "It’ll be interesting to see. I don’t know if she’s willing to open up and have this potentially not work out. That’s scary, by the way. You feel like you’ve got one shot at this. Some of us didn’t make the right decisions based on that. You think you have to have this one ending that you come in with, but truth is, it doesn’t always work out."
Becca and Rachel inquired if Andi would ever consider being the Bachelorette again, and though Andi replied, "Never say never," she doesn’t think she’d be "good at it the second time around."
