Jordan Rodgers Gets Stitches in His Head After Gruesome Workout Injury
Jordan Rodgers turned 32 on Sunday, and his first day of this new trip around the sun started off on a rather rough note.
Jordan and JoJo both shared on their Instagram Stories Monday that Jordan suffered a head injury and was "bleeding everywhere." He appeared chipper and was well enough to do a TV appearance (in a suit jacket and shorts, no less!) and was in good spirits despite a headache.
The "Bachelorette" couple delved into the details on JoJo's Story as she was chopping vegetables for dinner. Jordan began, "Thirty-two hit me hard. It hit me right in the face. We were working out today. It’s hot here, so I’m sweaty and I had my shirt off. I was feeling good about 32 and I was on a Bosu ball doing triceps extensions with 40-lb. dumbbells."
Jordan later acknowledged he might have been carrying two 20-lb. dumbbells, but he isn't sure.
According to the former pro football player, the Bosu ball "just shoots out from under me." He then clapped his hands together to mimic the sound of hitting the ground.
"Head hits, but that's the easy part," he shared.
Jordan continued, "The dumbbells came flying down. One hit me in the head and the other in the jaw like I got punched in the face. I was bleeding everywhere. I’ve been bleeding all day."
JoJo confirmed that Jordan was not exaggerating and "not being dramatic at all." She said, "He came home today with a huge gash in his head, bleeding everywhere, and he’s like, 'I’m totally fine.' I sent the photo to my brother, who’s an emergency room doctor, and he said, 'He definitely needs staples in his head.'"
Sure enough, Jordan required three stitches. JoJo posted a video of a doctor performing the minor operation at their kitchen table in Puerto Rico.
After showing pictures of the stitches and the wound, JoJo said the doctor told Jordan his "noggin's all good."
Feel better soon, Jordan!
