Ben Flajnik Celebrates His Birthday in the Most Ben Flajnik Way
Ben Flajnik turned 38 Thursday, September 10, and he celebrated in the most Ben Flajnik way possible: opening high-quality wine.
Ben posted a photo on his Instagram Story on Thursday of two bottles of wine and captioned it "HBD to me."
The bottle on the left is a 2018 Pascal Jolivet Sancerre from the Loire Valley in France. The second bottle shown is a vintage wine also from France. It’s a 2005 Albert Bichot Pommard Clos des Ursulines Domaine du Pavillon. That particular wine scored an 88 from "Wine Enthusiast."
Ben went all out in indulging for his big day. Alongside his wine, Ben made fresh lobster and served it with corn and potatoes.
The Season 16 Bachelor knows a thing or two about wine, seeing as how he is a vintner and founded two companies, Ion Wines and Fernet Francisco. According to Ion’s website, Ben started the company because "rosé wine is fun, light and in his opinion, 'should always be consumed with oysters and/or caviar.'"
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
Ben and his friend Max Rudsten started Fernet Francisco, where they created their own fernet, a type of bitter, by distilling "12 hand-picked herbs with a holy wisp of fresh fog." It is, as they say, the "spirit of San Francisco."
Happy birthday, Ben!
