Emily Maynard Celebrates Son Gibson's Birthday with a Huge Lawn Sign
Birthdays during the coronavirus pandemic look a bit different than before, but Emily Maynard is making sure her son Gibson feels nothing but love on his birthday.
Gibson Johnson turns 4 on September 16, and Emily honored him with a huge lawn sign that reads "Happy Birthday Gibson." The décor includes large cutouts of stars, a cupcake, and Captain America. Gibson went all in with the superhero motif and donned a Batman shirt as he ran back and forth through the sign.
Gibson is the middle child of the three Johnson brothers. (Emily has daughter Ricki Hendrick from a previous relationship, and she’s all grown up now at 15!) There’s 5-year-old Jennings, birthday boy Gibson, and 2-year-old Gatlin.
In a 2018 birthday tribute post to Gibson, Emily called him her "wild child." She wrote on Instagram, "Gibson. My wild child. The reason I say no a thousand times a day but also the reason I laugh a million. You’ll fight your brother and really anyone who is in your way, but you also love the hardest and I love that about you."
She continued, "You bring so much fun into our house and I love watching you figure out the world. Happy 2nd Birthday my sweet boy! I couldn’t love you more."

In December 2017, Emily spoke with People about giving birth to three kids in a span of two and a half years.
The Season 8 Bachelorette explained she "always wanted a lot of kids." She told the publication she explained to husband Tyler Johnson, "I made it clear on our first day, Listen, my clock’s ticking, and I’m ready to get on this!"
Happy birthday, Gibson!
