Tayshia Adams Shares the Painful Story About the Time She Got Run Over by a Truck
It’s time to spill some secrets!
Joe Amabile, Hannah Ann Sluss, and Tayshia Adams ripped the Band-Aid off in terms of bonding. The three Bachelor Nation veterans have joined forces to co-host "Click Bait with Bachelor Nation."
Before diving into all things pop culture, Tayshia, Joe, and Hannah Ann played a get-to-know-you game called "What’s Your Baggage?" wherein someone reads a fact and everyone has to guess who it belongs to. These tidbits range from sentimental to sexy, and there’s a story behind every piece of "baggage."
Hannah Ann revealed she keeps a box of stuff from every person she’s dated. She said on the podcast, "I’ve saved stuffed animals, I’ve saved every single card, I’ve saved every single piece of candies. I’ve saved wrappers, movie tickets. I’m very sentimental. I have like seven or eight [boxes]. I’ve had a lot of boyfriends. It’s stuff I’ve collected over the past. I have a box from the show, too."
On a more painful note, Tayshia shared how she got run over by a truck her freshman year of college. The "Bachelor in Paradise" alumna said she went downstairs to the vending machine in her dorm to buy a bag of Skittles. Her friends were going out to a party, but she opted to stay in.
She said, "As I’m pushing the buttons to get my Skittles, I hear music. Whenever I hear music I start dancing, and I see it’s my friend’s truck. I went out to go talk to them. I’m hanging on the window talking to them. They take my Skittles. Next thing you know, I’m like, 'I’m gonna go. Have fun at the party,' so I hop over the window to grab my Skittles back and I’m hanging on the truck."
Tayshia continued, "I was like, 'This is kinda fun' and the guy said, 'I got you! We’re going!' I was like, 'OK, I’m going,' and my friend Charlie said, 'No, it’s fine. We got you.' Anyway, the guy is holding onto me, the driver hits the gas. There’s a little yellow speed bump and I’m in the truck and I pop off and my body’s hanging off the truck. The back truck tire goes over my leg."
The 30-year-old had a fractured pelvis and "tire tracks on my legs for two weeks."
She said, "It took me out of my running career. My family, to this day, is like, 'If anything like this were to happen, it would be to Tayshia and it would be because of candy.'"
Tayshia stayed in the hospital for two weeks after the accident and had to "relearn how to walk."
She shared, "I had to move my college dorm room. I had a walker in college. I didn’t have a boyfriend my first year, I’ll tell you that much."
As for the rest of their "baggage," you’ll have to listen to the full "Click Bait with Bachelor Nation" episode to find out. You won’t want to miss it!
