Jason Tartick Defends Kaitlyn Bristowe After 'Dancing with the Stars' Score
Kaitlyn Bristowe might have dressed up as Cruella de Vil for Villains Night on "Dancing with the Stars" Monday night, but Jason Tartick’s support for his girlfriend was filled with love.
Kaitlyn and her partner Artem Chigvintsev danced the paso doble to Rihanna’s "Disturbia" and they ended the evening with a score of 24 out of 30. The former Bachelorette didn’t hide her sadness about the low score on social media, but Jason took to his Instagram Story to help boost her morale.
Jason can’t attend the show’s taping, so he often shares his reactions to the performances on his Story. On Monday, he answered a series of questions, many of which revolved around Kaitlyn’s dance.
For starters, he "didn’t think" her dance deserved a score of 7 from judge Carrie Ann Inaba. Derek Hough gave them a 9 and Bruno Tonioli opted for an 8.
Another person wrote in, "What is the advice you give Kaitlyn after a hard day of dance?"
Jason began, "I think if you look at since we’ve been here, every Monday night, just based on judges' feedback and scoring — which is questionable — this is by far probably rock bottom if you look at every single week she’s had."
While most people would see rock bottom as a negative thing, Jason views it as an opportunity to improve and get better.

He continued, "When you’re at rock bottom, that’s when people hit their next stride because you gotta relish it and you gotta remember the feeling of being onstage hearing that feedback. Take that every day to your practice and become better and next Monday just crush it. That’s why rock bottom can be a launch pad."
This support is so clear why Kaitlyn wrote her new song about Jason!
Jason believes Kaitlyn will "battle back" and come back even stronger next week. Watch her full paso doble above!
