Andi Dorfman Shares the Important Lessons Running Taught Her About Herself
For decades, the first Sunday in November has represented a milestone for tens of thousands of people, as runners from around the world gather for the New York Marathon. It's the largest and one of the most prestigious races in the world, in which celebrities and average runners alike test their endurance for 26.2 miles.
Bachelor Nation has maintained a steady presence at the New York Marathon over the years. Last year, Andi Dorfman, Tyler Cameron, Shawn Booth and others ran through the city's five boroughs.
Unfortunately, the race was canceled this year due to COVID-19. Andi, who has become a running leader in her own right with her brand Andorfins, took to Instagram to write about the powerful position running has in her life, and how it has changed her.
On Sunday, what would have been marathon day, Andi posted photos from races she ran last year with her trainer.

She began her caption, "Sad that this moment of crossing that finish line isn’t happening again this year but also can’t help but look at this photo and feel fortunate to see something for the first time: a foundation of strength."
Andi admitted she has "become one of those 'crazy runners' I always used to look at with skepticism and curiosity."
She continued, "The truth is, running has taught me more than anyone will ever know, and this year especially, it is running (and that foundation of strength) that has shown me that it is during the toughest of times, when everything seems a mess and you have no idea what to do ... you must keep moving forward."

Andi thanked her coach Roberto Mandje for "being my best running mate and showing me the beauty of this sport and the strength I didn’t know I had."
The Season 10 Bachelorette moved to Los Angeles over the summer, and she's already taken the trails and roads by storm.
