Lauren Bushnell Is Pregnant, Expecting First Child with Chris Lane: 'Our Sweet Baby'
Another Bachelor Nation baby is on the way!
Lauren Bushnell announced on Sunday that she is pregnant and expecting her first child with her husband, country singer Chris Lane.
The "Bachelor" Season 20 alum took to Instagram to reveal the exciting news, sharing footage from a recent ultrasound appointment accompanied by an emotional message.
"A dream. Except I’m not dreaming. I’m wide awake. Holding your dads hand, watching you dance around in my belly. Listening to your little heart beat. My new favorite sound. A miracle. New life," she wrote. "Our sweet baby. Thank you Jesus! All the glory belongs to You."
For his part, Chris shared the same video with the following caption: "Prayer works! Hope you look like your mama."
Lauren and Chris began dating in 2018, one year before the musician proposed in his "Big, Big Plans" music video. The couple tied the knot months later in October 2019 in a gorgeous Nashville wedding ceremony. Not long after their baby announcement, a host of Bachelor Nation stars — including Lauren’s ex-fiancé Ben Higgins — shared their excitement for the parents-to-be on social media.
“Congrats! What a thing to celebrate!” commented Ben, who proposed to Lauren at the end of his season of "The Bachelor" in 2016. (The pair later called it quits in May 2017.)
Former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky-Manno — who shares two kids with husband Kevin Manno — said, “Congratulations! Parenthood is the BEST!”
“Aaaaahhhhhh! Congrats!!! So so excited for you three!” wrote Catherine Giudici, while Jade Roper added, “Ahhhhh, hi sweet baby!! So sorry happy for you two.”
Proud moms Desiree Siegfried, Carly Waddell and Amanda Stanton also sent well wishes.
Later, Lauren re-shared her post via Instagram Stories with a heartfelt message for those who are also on their path to motherhood. “As excited as we are, for me, it was sometimes hard to see posts like this,” she wrote. “For those on their own journey to getting pregnant, I’m thinking of you. Thank you all for the love.”
