Blake Moynes Looks Back on His Breakup with Tayshia: 'I Still Hang On to the What-Ifs'
Tayshia Adams still has a piece of “Bachelorette” contestant Blake Moynes’ heart.
During a recent interview with “Extra” correspondent and former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay, the handsome Canadian reflected on his breakup with Tayshia after their intimate one-on-one date that included tantric Reiki and crystal healing.
According to Blake, he was blindsided by Tayshia’s decision to let him go. “I was loose and relaxed with Tayshia and I wasn’t like that with Clare [Crawley],” he said of his stronger bond with Season 16’s second lead.

“She started to see the sweet side, the emotional side, the fun side, the loose side. Obviously, as you heard in that last episode, there were all these different sides to me that she saw,” he said, later surmising that he and Tayshia could have connected on a deeper level had they been given more time together.
“It just really came too late and that’s what I think it came down to,” he said.
Blake also opened up about seeing Tayshia months later at the “Men Tell All” taping, where he had hoped to get clarification about her decision to cut the cord.
“It was tough because the last time I saw her, she broke down. I wasn’t expecting her to get as emotional as she did,” he said of the tearful farewell he received from Tayshia.
“It was tough because I literally had thought about her since I left because we left on this [note of], ‘We ran out of time.’ It wasn’t like, ‘You’re not the one for me,’” Blake continued. “It was, ‘We ran out of time. We connected too late.’”
The wildlife manager then revealed that he kept several of the crystals used during his romantic date with Tayshia, which served as reminders of what he believes could have been. “I have [them] on my dresser,” he said. “And I’d walk by and it would always bring up the what-ifs.”
While Blake said Tayshia “kind of” satisfied his need for closure during the “Men Tell All,” he still often ponders their potential as partners. “There’s still a piece of me where I still hang on to the what-ifs, in a way,” he said. “It was tough, for sure.”
Now that he’s single, Rachel asked Blake if he’d consider joining the cast of “Bachelor in Paradise” in the future. “It’s a long way away, so I’m going to be living my normal life until then. Realistically, I’m looking for somebody,” he said. “So if that happens before ‘Paradise’ comes, then great. If it doesn’t, then yeah, you could probably find me on a beach.”
As for his thoughts on becoming the next Bachelor, Blake said he would definitely sign on if asked to take on the role. “You can’t go wrong with choosing between 31 great women,” he said. “That would be an honor, for sure, and something that I would have a hard time with. But something that I’d take on.”
