“It’s hard to know what to say right now. I’ve been crying on and off for the past 3 months...right now is no different. So so grateful,” Lauren captioned a video on Instagram, which sees the couple taking a walk with their 19-month-old daughter, Alessi, who’s wearing a “Big Sister” T-shirt. Elsewhere in the clip, Lauren cradles her growing baby bump.
Arie also shared the exciting news, posting two photos on his own Instagram account and writing, “And then 2020 completely redeemed itself!” The former race car driver’s pics show the family posing together with the proud dad holding up a sign that reads, “BIG SISTER JULY 2021.”

Lauren and Arie — who met and fell in love with each other on Season 22 of “The Bachelor,” and later wed in January 2019 — revealed in May that they’d had a devastating miscarriage. The pair opened up about their experience in a YouTube video that documented the immense joy they felt upon discovering they were pregnant again and the intense sadness that hit them after losing the baby.
On Monday morning, Lauren let Bachelor Nation know that she and Arie have been twice as blessed this time around. “We may have left out one small detail,” the blonde beauty captioned a collection of sonogram images, accompanied by a new Instagram account @luyendyktwins.

In September, Lauren said that she and Arie had been actively trying to get pregnant again during a candid Instagram Q&A. “I know it’s not been long yet, but since our miscarriage we’ve wanted another baby so bad,” she explained. “I’ve been sad & discouraged the last couple of months bcuz of it, but trying to stay positive! It will happen when it’s our time.”
We’re so happy that time has come. Congrats to the soon-to-be family of five!
