Taylor Nolan Opens Up About Her Lifelong Struggle with Hypochondria: 'I Am Coping'
Taylor Nolan is closing out 2020 by bravely opening up about her lifelong struggle with hypochondria.
“So, I’m a hypochondriac,” she began a lengthy Instagram post shared on Wednesday. “Which basically means that I am abnormally anxious about my health, sometimes irrationally. I’ve struggled with this my entire life. It is one of the many reasons why I don’t drink alcohol, and eat the way I do.”
The “Bachelor” Season 21 alum continued, “On a regular basis over the years, I have managed to challenge myself on this and push my boundaries and get more comfortable with the idea of being sick and germs.”
Though she has made strides in the past, Taylor went on to say that the ongoing COVID-19 crisis has made dealing with her health anxiety particularly challenging. “But holy s--t the unexpected nightmare of a worldwide pandemic has really been terrifying,” she wrote. “My anxiety has been throughhhh the roof.”
The psychotherapist and sexologist then detailed how she is currently coping in the hopes that she can help others who suffer similarly. You can check out Taylor’s full list of tips in her post below.

“That’s just a few! It is a daily practice though, the anxiety of it creeps in all throughout the day and when I actually am sick...hug me (if you’re not sick too lol) and tell me everything will be okay cause I’ll be convinced I am dying,” she concluded. “But I KNOW I will be okay. I am resilient, I am well, I am coping. How are you coping?”
Taylor’s post about hypochondria comes weeks after she imparted an inspiring message for those who battle body image issues such as she.
“Still trying to take care of [my body], physically and emotionally. Hugging myself. Touching and rubbing my skin. Saying nice things. reminding myself that at the of the day, this is my home,” she wrote on Instagram at the time, accompanied by a stunning, skin-baring mirror selfie. “My one and only home. And I want to love and appreciate her.”
