Bachelor Nation Stars Say Goodbye to 2020, Greet the New Year with Messages of Hope
Like the rest of the world, Bachelor Nation was more than ready to say goodbye to 2020 — a year that was challenging for many due to the coronavirus pandemic and sociopolitical unrest.
In addition to their farewells to last year, Hannah Brown, Natasha Parker, JoJo Fletcher, Tammy Ly, Molly Mesnick, and Becca Kufrin — among other notable franchise alums — offered messages of hope for 2021 via social media.
“It’s been a hard year,” Season 15 Bachelorette Hannah said in an Instagram video posted on New Year’s Day. “But where there is dark, there is light. And whatever grief journey that you’re on right now — because we all are with something — I hope that as we go into 2021, there will be a moment where you do feel the change, where you giggle, or you laugh, and you realize that you laughed for the first time in a long time. [I hope] that there will be a day when we get to hold each other and hug each other and be together — and we don’t take it for granted like we used to.”
She added, “Those are the joys and the hopes that I’m taking into 2021. And they’re different than before and I think that’s good. Change is coming into 2021 because I think we’ve all changed.”
“Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” co-host Natasha shared equally moving sentiments. “Happy New Year Boos. If you’re reading this, you made it to 2021. We are still growing, healing, learning and counting our blessings,” she wrote in part. “Some battles were won, some battles were lost, but the strength and resilience I witnessed over this past year, wow, it’s inspiring.”
Meanwhile, Season 12 Bachelorette JoJo let her followers know how proud she was of all the people who powered through 2020 — but made sure not to kill 2021’s vibe with any early assumptions. “Ok ok, 2021 is going to be THE YEA... nvm. Scratch that,” she wrote. “Let’s tiptoe lightly and not jinx anything. Happy New Year my friends! In all seriousness, I truly feel hopeful for the year ahead of us. Love you all and SO DANG PROUD OF YOU- we made it through one hell of a year.”
We sure did. Take a look at more New Year’s messages from a host of “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” stars below.
