Rachel Lindsay Reveals What Tayshia Adams Told Her Before Final Rose Ceremony with Zac Clark
Spilling the tea! Rachel Lindsay stopped by Sunday night’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” where she opened up about her experience mentoring Tayshia Adams on the latest season of “The Bachelorette.”
As Bachelor Nation will recall, Rachel — who led 2017’s Season 13 of “The Bachelorette” — sat down with Tayshia during part one of her epic Season 16 finale to impart words of wisdom before the final Rose Ceremony. According to Rachel, though, Zac Clark had already won Tayshia’s heart at that point.
“She told me that she was going to pick Zac and that she was madly in love and that he was The One and they had already expressed feelings of love,” Rachel recalled. “I think that she made the best decision for her. Zac seems like a wonderful man. He adores her.”
Rachel’s remarks come not long after she learned more about Tayshia and Zac’s “Bachelorette” love story when the couple chatted with her and Becca Kufrin for their “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast. During the interview, which was published on December 23, Tayshia explained why her connection with Zac stood out from the get-go.
“It’s different. I think what we have is different,” she said, noting that Zac has always brought out another side of herself. “Because even when I’m watching back, I’m a little more reserved when I’m with [Zac]. I’m a little more shy and usually a little bit louder and a little bit more bubbly.”
The Orange County, California, native continued, “And with him, I knew I was in trouble because I knew I had found something in him that I’d been looking for. But I was too scared to even acknowledge that [Zac] might really be good for me.”
After accepting a proposal from Zac on the “Bachelorette” Season 16 finale, Tayshia moved in with the handsome addiction specialist in his apartment in New York City, where they recently celebrated Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
“I have just been so excited just to live life and not go a hundred miles an hour [and] live a double life and be in secret,” she said in a December 29 Instagram Story video, expressing relief over the fact that she no longer has to keep her relationship with Zac under wraps.
“I’ve been so distracted just being in the same house as Zac, which is so bizarre to me,” added Tayshia. “It’s so surreal that we can just be out in the open.”
