Ashley Iaconetti on Starting a Family with Jared Haibon and the Baby Name They've 'Officially Picked Out'
Ashley Iaconetti took to Instagram on Thursday to open up about her future plans to start a family with husband Jared Haibon.
Ashley’s revelations came during a candid “True or False”-themed Q&A on her Story. In response to a fan’s assumption that she and Jared want to have “a lot of kids,” Ashley clarified, “False. If we had a boy and a girl, we’d probably stop. If we have two boys, I’d want to try for a girl.”
The topic of parenthood came up again when one of Ashley’s followers asserted, “You wanted to have your first kid in Rhode Island.” (Ashley and Jared are currently in the process of moving from Los Angeles to Rhode Island — Jared’s home state — where they are building a house.)
Ashley explained that she hopes to give birth at the Virginia hospital where her father, Dr. Jay Iaconetti, works.
“I actually want to deliver at the hospital my dad works at in Northern VA and have his doctor and nurse friends doing the delivery and epidural,” she wrote. “I want to feel as comfortable and at home as possible.”
Ashley added, “Ideally I’d want to be at my parents’ the month or so leading up to the birth and after. But yes, I hope our home base is Rhode Island by then … just a 6-hour drive from my parents in VA.”
Another follower presumed that Ashley is “discouraged” that she isn’t pregnant yet, to which the TV personality responded, “Right now, periods make me disappointed. But I wouldn’t say discouraged.”
On a lighter note, Ashley revealed that she and Jared have already chosen a name for a son when one fan surmised, “You already have baby names picked out!”
She admitted the claim was “50% true," elaborating, “We have a boy name officially picked out.”
Ashley and Jared — who tied the knot in August 2019 after falling in love with each other across multiple seasons of “Bachelor in Paradise” — were able to get some good parenting practice in while watching Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert’s children earlier this week. Ashley and Jared notably surprised the couple’s 3-year-old daughter, Emmy, by dressing up as Disney’s Jasmine and Aladdin.
