Caelynn Miller-Keyes Unveils the Fascinating Editing Process Behind Her Social Media Content
Revealing her secrets! Caelynn Miller-Keyes has unveiled the fascinating editing process behind her flawless social media content.
In a new YouTube video shared on Tuesday, the beloved Bachelor Nation star and influencer discussed her favorite apps, tips, and tricks that keep fans double-tapping.
“I am pretty picky when it comes to my Instagram. I also just have a lot of fun with it, so that is part of it. But here are the apps that I use, and I will walk you through each app,” said Caelynn.
At the top of her list is the photo-editing app Lightroom. “I use Lightroom for all of my photos whether it is iPhone, a camera — all my photos,” the former pageant queen said. “And it took me a while to transition from those easy editing apps to Lightroom because Lightroom can be a little intimidating. But I finally did, and I will never go back.”
Caelynn explained that she has personally created three collections of preset filters for Lightroom and often sticks with her favorites: Barefoot, Shade, Bare, and Arizona. She demonstrated how she typically edits her photos, using a gorgeous image of herself walking along the edge of a pool.
“Right now, I’m between Barefoot and Bare. I think I’m going to stick with Barefoot,” she said of the filter she ended up choosing for this particular pic. “I’m going to bring the exposure up slightly. I like the way the highlights are.”

Beyond using one of her presets, Caelynn said that she doesn’t tamper with much else. “When a photo isn’t perfect with the presets, the only things that I typically touch are the exposure, the highlights, and the shadows,” she noted. “I really like bringing the [highlights] down because it can sometimes make you look a little bit more tan. And I love bringing the shadows up. And that’s all I’ll do.”
When it comes to capturing content, Caelynn said she normally uses a Nikon Z 50 for vlogs and a Nikon Z 7 for photos. She went on to say that she hardly ever posts shots taken on her iPhone. “As far as iPhone, I never really post iPhone photos because, again, I am picky. The only time I ever post an iPhone photo is if it’s a selfie and I rarely post selfies. So, very rare,” she said.
Of course, Caelynn will also make an exception if the photo happens to feature her boyfriend, Dean Unglert, whom she met on “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 6 in 2019. (The pair recently purchased a home together in Las Vegas, Nevada.)
“Or if Dean and I took a really cute pic together because we don’t really get pictures often,” she continued. “Those are the exceptions.”
Caelynn then divulged how she edits video content. “[Final Cut] is the software I use to edit all my videos for YouTube and my Reels. I really do like Final Cut. I studied broadcast journalism in college and we were taught on Adobe Premiere. I didn’t think I’d be able to switch but I like Final Cut a lot more than Premiere,” she said, adding that editing just one video normally “takes hours.”
More of the model’s go-to apps include Unfold (for curating Instagram Stories and mood boards), Videoleap (for editing TikTok videos), Canva (for creating YouTube cover images), and Snapbridge (“to link my camera’s wi-fi to my phone and download photos if I’m in a hurry”), among others.
