Kaitlyn Bristowe Unveils New Brunette Hair: 'This Is Going to Take Some Getting Used To'
Is it 2015 again?! After years of being blonde, Kaitlyn Bristowe unveiled a darker hair color that is giving us major flashbacks to her time leading Season 11 of “The Bachelorette.”
Kaitlyn detailed her coloring process in a series of Instagram Stories on Wednesday. The “Dancing with the Stars” champ then headed over to her grid to show off her new brunette locks. “Hello darkness my old friend,” she wrote alongside a stunning car selfie.
It wasn’t long before notable Bachelor Nation stars showered Kaitlyn with compliments in the comments section of her post.
“Absolutely gorgeous! Looks amazing,” her boyfriend, Jason Tartick, gushed.
“This is so good,” JoJo Fletcher wrote, while Trista Sutter enthused, “Holy stunner…in any hair color! But, hello pop to the eyes as a brunette!!”
Meanwhile, DeAnna Pappas exclaimed, “GORGEOUS!!!!”

Later, on her Instagram Story, Kaitlyn joked that she almost doesn’t recognize herself anymore. “I just woke up and walked by my mirror and was like, ‘Woah! Who’s that?” she said in a clip. “This is going to take some getting used to.”
Kaitlyn’s updated style comes just days after she apologized to “Bachelor” Season 25 star Chelsea Vaughn for comparing their hair insecurities while promoting a hair product on social media. As viewers will recall, Chelsea opened up to Matt James about struggling to love her hair as a Black woman during the show’s January 25 installment. The runway model also explained her “liberating” decision to shave her head in the summer of 2020.
“I feel completely, completely ignorant. I am ignorant. I was ignorant in that moment to not listen to the rest of her story and understand the history behind why she had insecurities around her hair,” Kaitlyn said on her Instagram Story.
“Chelsea’s experience is deeply ingrained in Black culture and beauty standards,” she added. “And I have now done so much research into what that looked like for many centuries.”
Chelsea accepted Kaitlyn’s apology, writing on Instagram, “I will always appreciate anyone who’s willing to openly listen, learn and take responsibility for their actions. @kaitlynbristowe thank you for your personal and public apology.”
