'Talking It Out': NFL Player Matthew Judon Opens Up About Family, Faith, and Football
NFL star Matthew Judon stopped by “Talking It Out” to chat with co-hosts Mike Johnson and Bryan Abasolo about his football career and marriage to his college sweetheart, BreighAnn Judon.
According to the Baltimore Ravens linebacker, he and BreighAnn — who tied the knot in June 2018 — rely on their Christian faith to endure the difficulty of navigating a public relationship.
“It could be a struggle. [There’s] temptation, but you just got to stay rock solid,” explained Matthew, who, as a pro athlete, travels often for work. “For me, I’m a firm believer in Christ. So, I be praying on it. We got a little Bible app, and we try to do our nightly devotions and read the Bible together when I’m away.”
The proud father of two — who shares daughter Aniyah, 5, and son Leonidas, 12 months, with BreighAnn — said that he would never want an indiscretion to jeopardize his thriving family life.
“I don’t want a female that I don’t really care about to come between me waking up and hearing my son cry,” he explained. “I’d rather wake up to that than an empty house with nobody there for me, nobody really caring for me, I’m there by myself and I’ve got to do my own laundry.”
Matthew added, “I most definitely would rather wake up with [BreighAnn] right there, to Leo crying, and taking Aniyah to school. Happy wife, happy life!”
