Heather Martin Explains Why She Pulled Up to 'The Bachelor' in a Minivan

Quite the ride! Heather Martin shocked Matt James and his contestants when she crashed Season 25 of “The Bachelor” — and left a large portion of Bachelor Nation confused by the vehicle she chose to drive herself to Farmington, Pennsylvania’s Nemacolin Woodlands Resort.
The blonde beauty took to her Instagram Stories on Monday night — not long after she made her “Bachelor” return during Week 6 of the show — to explain how she ended up renting a white minivan.
“So, I just have to say, I legitimately pulled up to the rental car place and I don’t know if they didn’t have any other cars, but they were just like, ‘So, is a minivan OK?’ And, of course, I didn’t even think twice,” she said with a laugh. “I was like, ‘Yeah, I love a minivan.’ And I didn’t realize until later that was a weird thing.”
Over on her grid, Heather posted a photo of herself proudly posing next to the polarizing car. “When you pull up to the rental car place and they ask if you want a minivan the answer is always yes,” she captioned the photo, in which she is seen sporting a wide smile and the gorgeous white gown she wore when reintroducing herself to Matt.
Heather hasn't met Matt before, but the two share a mutual friend in Season 15 Bachelorette Hannah Brown. According to Heather, it was Hannah who convinced her to give things a go with the handsome lead.
“I feel like I’m in a dream right now,” Matt said upon seeing Heather, clearly taken aback by her late arrival.
As seen in a preview for next week’s episode of “The Bachelor,” Heather’s new castmates are still reeling over her attempt to win Matt’s heart.
“You guys don’t know me at all,” Heather — who previously appeared on Season 23 of “The Bachelor” in 2019 — tells the women, to which Pieper James claps back, “Do you know Matt at all?”
See how the drama plays out when “The Bachelor” airs Monday on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
