'Bachelor Happy Hour': Pieper Reflects on Steamy Connection with Matt James and Their Romantic One-on-One
Pieper James stopped by “Bachelor Happy Hour” to chat with co-hosts Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin about her experience competing for Matt James’ heart on “The Bachelor” Season 25.
During her interview, the gorgeous grad student reflected on her undeniable chemistry with the handsome lead. As Bachelor Nation will recall, Matt memorably crashed Pieper’s interview during a farm-themed group date earlier this season — and then pulled her in for a passionate kiss.
“I just saw him running over and I was just joking around, like, ‘Come join my interview,’” Pieper recalled. “And then [the kiss] was obviously a happy surprise.”
The Oregon native then explained why Matt’s unexpected smooch was particularly meaningful.
“It was kind of just nice to have that moment away from everybody because, as you guys know, group dates are so hard to find your moment and be seen — but without being overtly annoying,” she told Rachel and Becca. “So that was really cute to kind of get that validation of, like, ‘I see you. Let’s take this moment and really capitalize on it.’ So that was really special.”
Pieper also shared her thoughts on the romantic carnival-themed one-on-one she shared with Matt during the February 8 installment on the show. “It was above and beyond what I could have dreamed of,” she enthused. “It was amazing.”
