Peter Weber's Beloved Dog Tripp Is His New NYC Roommate: 'Here's to Our Next Adventure'
Old dog, new city! Peter Weber’s beloved dog, Tripp, recently touched down in New York City less than a month after the former Bachelor revealed plans for his 16-year-old pet to make a permanent cross-country move from his native Los Angeles.
“Tripp has been my best friend since my freshman year of high school!” the commercial pilot wrote in a Thursday Instagram post, accompanied by an airplane selfie with his adorable pooch. “We’ve been through it all together. I’m so happy to be taking him with me to New York! Here’s to our next adventure Bubba!”

Peter headed over to his Story to share footage of Tripp boarding his first flight and then taking in his unfamiliar surroundings after landing in the City That Never Sleeps. “All right, Trippy has his winter coat on. Just making our way up the escalator,” Peter said in a video clip. “We are in the Big Apple, buddy! We’re here.”
Peter settled into a luxurious apartment in Manhattan’s Midtown East neighborhood with roommate and fellow “Bachelorette” Season 15 alum Dustin Kendrick in January. During an Instagram Live conversation with his mother, Barb Weber, that month, Peter shared his excitement at bringing Tripp to the city in the near future — especially because he knew he would provide companionship for Dustin’s English bulldog, Sophia.
“He’s 16 years old. He’s a trouper, so I’m trying to get him out here. He’s about to be a New York dog,” Peter enthused at the time. “I’ve got my bag packed and everything ready for him for all his walks.”
Upon entering Peter’s apartment on Thursday, Tripp introduced himself to Sophia — and leaned into his inner Bachelor by offering her a rose.
“All right, Sophia, so Tripp brought you something all the way from L.A., OK? He’s been really excited to give it to you,” Peter joked in another video posted to his Story. “Sophia, will you accept Tripp’s rose?”
Intrigued by the flower and its scent, Sophia sniffed it before gnawing at it. “Is that a yes? Trippy, she’s eating the rose!” Peter said with a laugh. “That is most definitely a yes. Trippy, you did good. You did good!”
Welcome home, Tripp!
