Experience Miami Like Juan Pablo Galavis on 'The Bachelor'
Oh, yes, you’ll definitely be able to feel the magic in Magic City.
Miami, the cultural capital of Florida, is filled with world-famous beaches, restaurants, shopping centers, bars, clubs, and more. Not to mention it’s also home to professional sports teams that are loved the world over. People travel from around the world just to get a taste of Miami’s flavor, whether that be in Little Havana with renowned Cuban food or boating through Biscayne Bay. Slow down, soak up the heat, dance to the music, and fall deeper in love while you’re here.
Juan Pablo Galavis traveled to his hometown of Miami on Season 18 of “The Bachelor,” and here’s how you can see the city just like him.
Arrival
Whether it’s South Beach or downtown Miami, you have options galore when it comes to picking a place to stay in the city. For the true “Bachelor” experience, check out Loews Miami Beach, which recently underwent a $50 million renovation! While here, you’ll be a hop, skip, and jump from the bright blue waters of the Atlantic, as well as the best that South Beach has to offer. It’s the perfect place to relax on a chaise lounge or in a cabana by the pool, dine at award-winning restaurants, and sip on cocktails while staring into your love’s eyes.
Put on your cutest bathing suit and hit the town!
One-on-One date: Sailing the Seas
Boating is by far one of the most popular activities in Miami. If you and your date want to feel just like the Bachelor, charter a boat (or yacht if you feel like living large) and spend the day on the open seas. Bring champagne, snacks, and your sunscreen with you because you’ll have nothing but time to bond as a couple under the rays of the Miami sun.
As you look out at the sunset from your boat, your connection will surely be undeniable as you see the horizon and endless possibilities for you in the distance.
One-on-One Date: Home Run to Your Heart
Miami sports teams embody the heart and soul of the city, including their baseball team, the Miami Marlins. If you visit Magic City during baseball season, bring out your inner fan and cheer on the home team. Maybe you’ll even make it onto the Kiss Cam during the seventh inning stretch! Even if you’re there not during the season, you can still do a DIY Kiss Cam with some selfies to make all your friends jealous.
After a day in the stadium, have a romantic dinner for two and cheers to the home run that is your relationship!
Group Date: Just Beachy
Miami is known the world over for its beaches and coastline. Gather up your group and be sure everyone has on their best swimsuit because it’s time to hit the sand!
Juan Pablo and the ladies on his group date chartered a seaplane to a private island, where they spent the day talking, tanning, and swimming. While you and your dates may or not be able to do the same, use this beach day as time to relax and slow down the pace so you can focus on what matters most here: your relationship.
When you’re all sunned out, choose a special someone to spend the rest of the day with you and explore what South Beach has to offer. Juan Pablo and his date went to a club and salsa danced the night away to a performance by famous singer Romeo Santos. Forget mild — this is a spicy evening!
Miami feels like a world in and of itself, which makes it such an appealing destination for couples and romantics. Whether you spend the day relaxing on the beach or wandering in and out of the city’s famous restaurants, Miami’s charm, beauty, and flavor will act as the ideal backdrop for your love story.
