Tia Booth Reveals Father's Cancer Diagnosis and Asks Fans for Prayers in Positive Post
Tia Booth took to Instagram on Monday to share the news that her father, Kenny, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer.
“In early March, my Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer and it’s taken me since then to even wrap my mind around it,” the “Bachelor” alum wrote. “Cancer is a nasty little word and when it affects someone you love, it feels like getting the wind knocked outta ya.”
Tia’s caption was accompanied by a photo of herself wearing a sweatshirt that reads, “Hey cancer, f--k you, you f--king f--k.” She also shared a video of her dad dancing joyfully inside what appears to be a gas station.
“Although not curable, we are all thankful it’s treatable with Chemo-started today! Dad said it was boring, but he had a tv, ice water & a recliner so he had it made,” the franchise star continued.
Tia — who spent her childhood in Arkansas but now lives in Nashville — also noted that she is making a concerted effort to remain optimistic about her father’s health.
“If you wonder why I handle stress with humor, there it is. Hoping for minimal side effects and that he’ll handle treatment like a champ-so far so good!” she wrote, adding that she would appreciate prayers from fans. “We will gladly take any good vibes & prayers not only for him, but also his medical team as he goes through treatment.”

The brunette beauty elaborated, “Yes I have a lot of cursing on my shirt, but I truly believe in the power of prayer which is why I wanted to share this here.”
Tia concluded her post by paying tribute to Kenny’s fighting spirit. “I know it’s heavy to post, but sometimes life slaps you in the face to make you realize what’s important,” she wrote. “Swipe to see my Daddy in action 😂 I love you, @kenny.booth.”
Tia’s Bachelor Nation family wasted no time flooding her comments section with sweet messages.
“Love you. Wrapping your family in nothing but love and prayer,” wrote Lesley Murphy, while Ashley Iaconetti commented, “Sending positivity to you, your dad, and your family!!”
Blake Horstmann left a series of red heart emojis. Elsewhere, Elyse Dehlbom wrote, “This breaks my heart that your family has to go through this, but prayers for many more years of your Dad dancing to tunes. Sending you my best.”
We’re also sending our good vibes, thoughts, and prayers to Tia, Kenny, and their loved ones at this time.
