Shawn Booth Celebrates His Dog Walter's 'Glow Up' in Adorable Birthday Tribute
So doggone sweet! Shawn Booth took to Instagram on Thursday to celebrate his dog Walter’s first birthday.
“Big boy is turning the big ONE today,” the “Bachelorette” Season 11 alum captioned a photo of himself holding his beloved golden retriever as a puppy followed by a current snapshot.
“Swipe to see his glow up/grow up,” the proud pet parent continued. “HBD @walterboothdog!”

As fans of Shawn are well aware, Walter often keeps the franchise star company during sweat-heavy workouts at his Boothcamp Gym in Nashville. Most recently, on Wednesday, Walter sat close by as Shawn demonstrated a “glute day” exercise routine. On April 6, Walter adorably yawned his way through one of Shawn’s arm circuits.
Shawn welcomed Walter into his life not long after his dog Tucker passed away in April 2020. To commemorate what would have been Tucker’s 12th birthday in December, the handsome fitness trainer opened up about their special bond.
“I’ll never get over Tuck. He was my 'soul dog,'” Shawn wrote on Instagram at the time. “I’ll miss him just as much 20 years from now as I do today. I’m sure this sounds crazy to everyone out there who hasn’t experienced a special bond with an animal, but I know all big dog guys out there get it.”
Shawn also noted how his relationship with Walter compares to the one he had with Tucker. “This doesn’t mean I love @walterboothdog any less. It’s a different kind of love. Which is completely fine,” he explained. “They are very very different boys which is great.”
Shawn added, “Life is just better with a dog in it, plain and simple.”
