While they have months to go before tying the knot in November, Ben Higgins and fiancée Jessica Clarke have one sweet detail set for their wedding day.
“Jess and I are wondering (we honestly want feedback) on your favorite wedding food!” Ben wrote via Instagram on Thursday, accompanied by a photo of himself and Jessica admiring a plate of chocolate chip cookies.
“First wedding detail, chocolate chip cookies will be served!” the Season 20 Bachelor added.
The couple’s decision came as they were taste testing potential menu items ahead of their fall ceremony.
“Full and happy bellies after our catering tastings for the wedding!!!” Jessica wrote on her own Instagram page. “I am genuinely curious actually, what’s your favorite food you’ve ever had at a wedding?”

Notable Bachelor Nation stars weren’t shy about sharing their suggestions in the comment sections of Ben and Jessica’s posts.
“Pigs in a blanket!” enthused Michael Garofola, while Dean Unglert wrote, “Mint chocolate chip ice cream.”
Meanwhile, Tanner Tolbert endorsed Ben and Jessica’s first choice. “I like cookies,” he remarked.
Ben proposed to Jessica in March 2020 after two years of dating. While promoting his book “Alone in Plain Sight,” Ben opened up about his relationship with the gorgeous skin care influencer during an exclusive interview with BachelorNation.com in January.
“There’s a curiosity involved. She just wants to understand me, and she wants to know me. She wants me to never feel alone,” he said at the time. “She lets me know that she’s always going to be there for me. There’s a freedom to our relationship that’s beautiful.”
While the pair’s original 2020 wedding was canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Ben explained that he and Jessica — who are based in Denver, Colorado — will exchange vows this year no matter what.
“Yeah, we’ll definitely get married in November — with or without people. We’re choosing not to live together and to not be intimate until marriage. It was a really good plan until our wedding got pushed back,” he said. “And now we’re still choosing to do that. So, no matter what, this is the year. [Abstinence] is healthy for us and it’s going to be the best thing for us, but we’re making it official in November. That’s when we’ll get married. We just don’t know how that looks right now because of COVID-19.”
